One can find Birthday cards that list major events  of their birthday year. The year that I was born in Canada, Tim Hortons first opened its doors and worldwide, the Beatles became famous.  After nearly 6 decades, I read The Beatles are still socially relevant. In Canada so is Tim Hortons. In the last month of 2013 I was diagnosed with cancer. I decided to take it on as a challenge  I created a website and called it ‘The AliveStar Post’. I wanted to chronicle my journey through cancer, diagnosis to recovery. I survived cancer, yet let my  website go. I am resurrecting the website purely for creative self expression. In a rapidly changing society I believe art and well expressed words are sacred. Life is a daily struggle for most people. I know it is for me. I walk around the city and see homeless people living in the streets out of boxes and tents, it is a sobering reality check. My personal struggles lessen, I feel deep gratitude to be alive … to have come this far.
